Ahhhh...Republic Gardens! That put a huge smile on my face :-D. Those were the days!! I call it our version of Cheers..."where everybody knows your name...and they're always glad you came!" I was DEFINTIELY there every Thursday and Friday night and OFTEN there for the Wednesday night deal too. My roommate and I actually made it our dinner plan for Thursdays, "So, we'll go to Republic, eat, get a few drinks, chill for about an hour or two, then go home and study." LOL! Insane. Now I can do a club no more than three times a year and if someone drags me out for the 4th time, trust that I am pissy about being there! I'm just so over it now. But just those memories of the Gardens alone are enough to make me feel the happiness I suppose some people feel from being in the hot, smoky club with Roscoe trying to feel you up and some untalented rapped yelling all night through the sound system :).

Hahaha! Jenny you are too funny. Cheap beer nights are the devil ;) And grape Mad Dog... Girl you are telling on yourself... I mean... grape Mad Dog -- what is that? ;) tee hee ;)

A friend of mine, Jeremy Schachter, does a joke about how his criteria for attending concerts has changed. His first question: Are there seats? No? Well why don't we just stay at home put on the CD and you can spill beer on me ;) hahaha... so true.

I'm old. I can dig it ;)

My fav nights out now need to include a bartender that can mix a drink that doesn't taste like Grape Mad Dog and 7-up, an internet juke box so I can find some Pearl Jam but still talk over the music, and a clean ladies room. I think it's better than seeing a crappy band because my freind loves the guitarist with the long hair, finding out everyone can see through my shirt under the black light on the dance floor and dealing with a hang over from quarter beer night.

...Although now I just have more expensive hangovers. Instead of going to Denny's at 4am I require brunch someplace that has mimosas. Shoot, maybe that isn't progress.
